Dangerous Bee Activity Present

Dangerous bee activity is present near the Deitrich's Landing trail head, shelter area by the pier. Persons with allergies should avoid the area and carry their emergency treatments and know immediate emergency medical response is not available.

Anchoring Permit Not Required

Anchoring is allowed without a permit in the designated location on the west side of Buck Island. Updated permitting procedures will be announced at a later date. Check back for updates.

Buck Island Reef National Monument

  • There is no visitor center at Buck Island. Please visit the bookstore or fee booth at Christiansted National Historic Site. The bookstore is located at the historic Scale House, at the water's edge. The fee booth is located just inside the gate and to the right in Fort Christiansvaern.
