Interpretive Trail Shelter and Viewpoint

Visitors can learn about the original settlement and view Saint Croix Island from this shelter and viewpoint.

Ranger Station: Saint Croix Island International Historic Site

The Ranger Station at Saint Croix Island IHS features informational exhibits, a park store, passport stamps, a restroom and drinking water during the summer season.

  • A two story grey farmhouse style building with a front porch and gray shutters. Inside, a single room has park store items along the left wall, informational exhibits on the far front wall, and tactile exhibits of petroglyphs on the far right wall.

Saint Croix Island Ranger Station

  • Saint Croix Island Ranger Station
  • The ranger station provides information for the area and the history of Saint Croix Island and marks the start of the interpretive trail leading out to the viewpoint overlooking the island. During winter, typically the end of October to Memorial Day, services are limited. The displays and bronze statutes along the interpretive trail are covered to prevent damage from inclement weather, and the visitor center is closed.
