Pacific Historic Parks - Bookstore

  • The Pacific Historic Parks Bookstore can be found on your left as you enter the Visitor Center Complex and the right as you exit.

Remembrance Circle

  • A circular area with benches lining the interior walls where there are multiple plaques listing the ships, military bases and locations of the active duty military and civilians lost in the December 7th attack.

The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) Exhibit

  • As you enter the Attack gallery the exhibit is located immediately to your right.

The Lone Sailor

  • A bronze life size sculpture of a man in his navy pea coat, and bucket hat. His sea bag sits behind him.

Tree of Life Sculpture

The Tree of Life sculpture is a relief and a symbol of renewal created by USS Arizona Memorial architect, Alfred Preis, in order to inspire contemplation. 

USS Arizona Anchor

  • An almost 6 foot wide 10 foot tall, ships anchor sits on a raised concrete plinth.

USS Arizona Bell

  • The USS Arizona Bell is hung from an awning. And is about 8 feet off of the ground. There is a to scale replica of the bell at waist level.

USS Arizona Memorial

  • The 184-foot-long memorial structure spans the mid-portion of the sunken battleship and consists of three main sections: the entry room; the assembly room, a central area designed for ceremonies and general observation; and the shrine room, where the names of those killed on the Arizona are engraved on the marble wall.

USS Oklahoma Memorial

  • 429 marble plinths stand at attention in a v formation. Each plinth bears the name of a lost Sailor or Marine.

USS Utah Memorial

On December 7, 1941, Oklahoma's port (left) side was hit by eight torpedoes at the very start of the attack. In less than twelve minutes, she rolled over until her masts touched the bottom, trapping hundreds of men inside and under the water. Four hundred twenty-nine crew members died. Of those trapped inside, only 32 could be rescued.

  • A concrete walkway with railings extends into the harbor for approximately 30 feet and turns left at about 90 degrees paralleling the remains of the USS Utah.

Pearl Harbor National Memorial Visitor Center

  • Pearl Harbor National Memorial Visitor Center
  • The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is open seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The visitor center, two museums, and USS Arizona Memorial program are free for all visitors. The visitor center is closed three days a year: Thanksgiving Day, December 25, and January 1. For every other day, including all other holidays, we are open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with no shortened hours.

  • After you pass the Security check point, walk about 30 yards turn towards your left, walk another 80 yards and the museums will be on your left.

  • A bookstore and gift shop where visitors can purchase Pearl Harbor memorabilia.

  • Visit the USS Oklahoma Memorial
  • The USS Oklahoma Memorial stands to honor the 429 men who lost their lives aboard the Oklahoma on December 7th, 1941. These men were not only sailors and Marines, they were 429 brothers, sons, husbands, and fathers.
