New Screening Facility at The Battery

Southwest Battery (Castle Clinton)

Castle Clinton National Monument was one of the New York Harbor forts built just before the War of 1812, then known as the Southwest Battery. Later it became a great entertainment complex, an important immigrant processing station, and an aquarium. Saved from destruction by the National Park Service, a 1975 restoration returned the structure to its early 1800s appearance.
